The Conference and Event Services Department of the British Association of Dermatologists is responsible for the organisation of the majority of meetings, conferences and events held on behalf of the Association.

GDPR – Events Privacy Policy

The new European data protection law known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), came into effect on May 25th 2018.

This Policy sets out how we collect, process and safeguard the personal information you provide to us specifically in regards to our events. Here at the British Association of Dermatologists we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the information and services you have requested from us.

For marketing purposes we keep you details to enable us to inform you on the next occurrence of the specific event you have attended or to inform you on similar events.

Specific aspects related to your event registration are:

Personal data generated by your involvement with the BAD

• Photographs or videos, e.g. from events you attend, articles you provide, or from on-site security systems

Special category data

• Information about your health, including any medical conditions, allergies and disabilities, as provided to us (e.g. when attending events or requesting adjustments to meeting spaces)

Disclosing and sharing your personal data

• We may provide your name and institution as part of an event delegate list with event-specific sponsoring companies.
• Name and details relevant to an event may be shared with the venue and caterer, i.e dietary requirements.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The BAD have been advised by overseas and U.K. Doctors of “scam” dermatology conferences taking place in the U.K. and around the world. Please beware of scam companies pretending to offer accommodation and registration for the Psoriasis from Gene to Clinic Congress.
